Introduction

SSW (Softswitch) is a VoIP-based next generation telephone switching system and it is a core call-processing system which telecommunication provider must have in order to construct VoIP service network.

IPAGEON’s IPG SSW system is largely divided into SSW for relay processing the interworking between communication providers, SSW for home providing telephone service for regular subscribers, SSW for corporate providing IP-PBX acceptance and Centrex service for corporate subscribers, SSW replacing PSTN which can accept the existing PBX and telephone in replacement of the deteriorated PSTN exchanger and SSW replacing GK which can accept the existing H.323 GW and IP-phone in replacement of the deteriorated H.323 GK.

All protocols supported by IPAGEON’s IPG SSW system comply with international standard, so it ensures the interworking compatibility with other systems. This system which was selected by numbers of communication providers has been verified in the stability and reliability.

Features

  • High capacity VoIP telephone switching system
    It is high capacity VoIP telephone switching system which can accept more than 60,000 calls in concurrent call and more than 300,000 subscriber devices. It is possible to construct the VoIP telephone network for one small city just by one set of SSW.

    Various products lineup such as SSW for relay, SSW for home, SSW for corporate, SSW replacing PSTN, SSW replacing GW, small specific SSW, etc enables communication provider to select the optimized product according to the intended use.
  • Complies with international standard protocol
    All supporting protocols including SIP comply with international standard, so this system ensures the interworking compatibility with other systems, and there is no limit for the replacement of existing system or introduction of new system.
  • Duplicating configuration for modules
    This system supports the duplication for all modules that affect the services such as Lan Port duplication, duplication of server and duplication of S/W module, therefore minimized down time of services.

  • IPAGEON Toll Softswitch (IPAGEON Toll Softswitch / For relay:C4)
    IPG T-SSW (for relay) is a call-processing system dedicated for switching trunk line, which relays the call between more than 2 sets of subscriber acceptance call-processing systems or interworks with call-processing system, and relays call in the telephone network of other common carriers.
    Particularly, if the telephone network of other common carrier is PSTN network (local or mobile), this system also provides the function interconverting telephone signal (SIP) and voice signal (RTP) in VoIP network with telephone signal (ISUP) and voice signal (TDM) in PSTN network upon interworking and call forwarding.
  • IPAGEON Mass Softswitch (IPAGEON Mass Softswitch / For regular subscriber:C5)
    IPG M-SSW (for regular subscriber) is a call-processing system to which IP-Phone of home subscriber is directly connected. Control signal supports SIP, MGCP, H.248/Megaco protocol and controls call and incoming signal. It also provides standard telephone supplementary services such as caller identification, incoming call transfer, reject call, etc.
  • IPAGEON Biz Softswitch (IPAGEON Biz Softswitch / For corporate subscriber)
    IPG B-SSW (for corporate subscriber) a call-processing system to which IP-Phone, IP-PBX or GW of home subscriber is directly connected. Control signal supports SIP protocol and controls the call and incoming signal for trunk line such as IP-PBX, GW, etc or incorporates many IP-phones into one extension group. It also provides virtual PBX services (e.g. extension call, transfer, pickup, representative number)
  • IPAGEON replacing PSTN Softswitch (Replacing PSTN)
    IPG P-SSW (replacing PSTN) is a call-processing system which connects the V5.2 Analog telephone or PRI/R2 PBX which has been used in connection with the existing PSTN exchanger, and provides SIP protocol as interworking signal with other systems. Because this system can control the call and incoming signal of subscriber or provide standard telephone supplementary services equally to the existing PSTN exchanger, it is replaceable 1:1 with the existing exchanger without changing the subscriber line.
  • IPAGEON replacing GK Softswitch (Replacing GK)
    IPG G-SSW (replacing GK) is a call-processing system which connects H.323 GW or GK which has been used in connection with the existing H.323 GK without changing and supports SIP protocol as interworking signal with other systems. Because this system can control the call and incoming signal of subscriber equally to the existing H.323 GK, it is replaceable with the existing H.323 GK without changing the subscriber line.
  • IPAGEON for specific communication provider Softswitch (For specific communication provider)
    IPG SB-SSW (for specific communication provider) is a lightening call-processing system for small specific communication provider. It supports SIP, H.323 protocol to process the relaying traffic and SIP protocol to accept the subscribers of IP-Phone, IP-PBX and GW.
